SportsAbility Alliance is excited to share the ALLOUT Adventure Program! This program includes EcoRover Beach and Trail Adventures, Adaptive Boat Rides, Mobility Impaired Hunts and more outdoor adventures! At each opportunity, a SportsAbility Alliance representative will provide pre-event information, an introduction and directions for use of the EcoRover or boat and on site guiding when desired by participants. As these are outdoor adventures, please wear appropriate clothing, bug spray and sun protection. Please bring your own water and refreshments. Alcohol is not permitted on any ALLOUT Adventure Trips. Please see more information below about each of our ALLOUT Adventures!
EcoRover Beach and Trail Adventures
SportsAbility Alliance is excited to offer expanded EcoRover Beach, Trail and other outdoor adventures. EcoRovers are All-Terrain Tracked Power Recreational Device, which are designed to allow people with mobility limitations to experience independent mobility. EcoRover are for everyone and we invite anyone who is interested in this convenient, functional and comfortable way to enjoy the outdoors to sign up and give it a try.
EcoRovers have the capability to go anywhere a wheelchair can go and more, even traversing over rough or uneven outdoor terrain. They are narrow enough to fit through a standard 30 inch door and allow indoor maneuverability due to zero-turning; yet have outdoor, off-path, all-terrain track chair capabilities. So EcoRovers can easily traverse sand, gravel, dirt, mud, snow, grass, hills up to 20 degrees, tree roots and mulch! Check out this short video below for a brief introduction to EcoRovers. You can find more information about the EcoRover at EcoRoverChairs.com.
Mobility Impaired Hunts
Are you interested in joining SportsAbility Alliance on a mobility impaired hunt? We participate in multiple hunts a year and we'd love to have you join us. Thanks to a partnership and grant from Fish and Wildlife Foundation of Florida, we are able to provide 1-2 EcoRovers for mobility impaired hunters to use, free of charge!
Here is a list of upcoming hunts we will be attending and will have EcoRovers available to reserve:
If you're interested in participating in an upcoming mobility impaired hunt, you must first have an FWC Mobility Certification in order to get your quota permit. Please visit Accessibility Accommodation for Persons with Disabilities | FWC (myfwc.com) for all information about permits, mobility certification and more! If you have questions, please contact David Jones at [email protected] for assistance.
